Profession: Actress
Lindsay Lohan’s entertainment career has been on the go almost since her birth. Lohan got started in the business at the age of three, and appeared in many commercials, including roles for big companies, such as Ford and the Gap. Lohan also appeared in one of the infamous JELL-O commercials, which also featured comedian, Bill Cosby. Lohan began her role-acting career in “Another World”, as one of the main characters children. She was then picked to appear in Disney’s revival of “The Parent Trap”, where she played both of the children in the film. Though the film did not do as well as expected financially, Lohan gained much critical success from the film, which would later catapult her into many other acting roles and a multi-film contract with Disney. Lindsay kept acting in many, modestly successful films, but turned to music in 2001, by signing a contract with Casablanca records, a company controlled by Emilio Estefan.
In 2003, Lohan’s acting career got a boost with her role in the remake of “Freaky Friday”, which put her alongside Jamie Lee Curtis. After the film put Lohan back in the spotlight, it was also realized that she had matured and was quickly gaining acclaim as a teen sex symbol. Lohan then worked on the movies, “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen” and “Mean Girls”, the latter of which put Lohan beside “The Notebook” star, Rachel McAdams. As Lohan continued to gain success and age, she also became a tabloid favorite, especially as she neared 18, and was also romantically linked to Wilmer Valderama. Valderamma and Lohan quickly split after her 18th birthday, but it did not seem to halt Lohan’s film, or music career. Lohan fulfilled her contractual obligation to Disney by starring in “Herbie: Fully Loaded. Lohan’s debut album came out in late 2004, while she has continued to gain roles in such critically acclaimed films as, “Bobby” and “A Prairie Home Companion”.
