This is quite a step up from her previous abode which measured just 3,000 square feet. The Wall Street Journal reports that her new home has five bedrooms, a fitness room (soon to be a shoe closet), and five and a half bathrooms. Hilton bagged the desirable property for $5.9 million, $350,000 below the original asking price. The real-estate agent who oversaw the deal, Mauricio Unamsky of Hilton & Hyland, is Hilton’s uncle. It is believed that the property appealed to the famous socialite for the extra space and extra privacy that it provides. The reunion was bittersweet – Michael flew hours from his hometown to visit Lindsay at the Cirque Lodge in Utah where she is currently undergoing drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Michael is in full support of his oldest daughter getting healthy, having been through alcohol and drug addiction himself. Michael recently spent two years in prison for a DUI himself and finished the sentence in March of this year. Rumors had been swirling around the former pop tart for weeks about launching her much needed comeback at MTV’s annual Video Music Awards. Blair has claimed that Carey owes him a share of her record and tour profits from her hit 2005 album, The Emancipation of Mimi. The star’s former manager was dismissed as president of Carey’s Monar C Entertainment company shortly after the album was released. The New York Daily News quoted a source as saying: “Jerry stood by Mariah through her breakdown. It was announced that Whoopi Goldberg would be the program’s new moderator, replacing Rosie O’Donnell on August 1. Shepherd was expected to be announced as co-host on that date as well. The fact that she wasn’t is due to reported contentious negotiations that were going on between Shepherd and ABC. Sherri Shepherd worked as a legal secretary while she tried to get comedy gigs at night. Her first TV role was on the show Cleghorne starring Ellen Cleghorne, a former Saturday Night Live member. Raymundo Ortega, the other driver in the crash claimed Lohan was drunk when she hit his van and instituted legal proceedings against Lohan and the Ivy, a West Hollywood watering hole for at least $200,000 in damages June 14. Lindsay Lohan, according to Ortega, got drunk during lunch at the Ivy and when she got into her car, she was looking over her shoulder while recklessly barreling north on Robertson Blvd. when she smashed into his car with her Mercedes.
