There is also a complaint lodged against her with the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services, but no mistreatment of the children are alleged. The complaint involves poor dental hygiene, bad eating habits and bad sleeping habits. These complaints generally are kept secret, but they ended up in legal papers brought about by Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline. This is the second allegation; the last one was filed July 2, but went nowhere. Britney Spears filed for divorce November 8,… Read full article Madonna Adoption Bid to be Assessed Next Month Tuesday, August 28, 2007 A Malawian official is to visit the home of Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie next month to assess whether the couple are suitable parents for Malawi-born David Banda. Madonna took custody of David Banda in October 2006 when she was granted an 18-month interim custody order. However, the full adoption will only be finalized when Malawi authorities are fully satisfied that the child is properly cared for. Malawi social worker Penstone Kilembe, who is due to begin his visit to Madonna’s home on September 4, was quoted as saying that Madonna was looking forward to the visit “so her adoption process is not hampered”. Kate Kainja,… Read full article Kirsten Dunst robbed by hotel thieves Monday, August 27, 2007 Kirsten Dunst was robbed of designer handbags, cash, credit cards and other items when thieves broke into her Manhattan hotel this month. The Spider-Man star was not in the exclusive penthouse suite at the SoHo Grand Hotel at the time. Court records said that one of the handbags was worth $13,000, while $2,500 in cash, credit cards, digital cameras, a cell phone and an iPod were also stolen. Dunst was in New York filming for her next movie How to Lose Friends and Alienate People. She had apparently left the hotel suite early on the morning of August 9. Later that day, thieves managed to sneak into the room and make off with the stolen items. However, they were captured on surveillance camera and already one man is facing burglary and larceny charges in relation to the robbery. Bridget Moynahan Gives Birth to Baby Boy Friday, August 24, 2007 Actress Bridget Moynahan (35) gave birth to a baby boy August 22 in Los Angeles and both mother and son are doing well. Moynahan split with dad Tom Brady, quarter back for the New England Patriots last year after a three-year relationship. Tom Brady (30) was nowhere to be found and was not on the field or sidelines for the first few minutes of practice August 22. Brady is said to have been looking forward to the birth of his first child. Bridget Moynahan was born September 21, 1972 in Binghamton, N.Y. She is a fashion model and has appeared in Vogue and Glamour. Moynahan is also an actress and played the character Dr. Cathy Muller in ‘The Sum of All Fears in 2002. She was charged with possession of cocaine and driving under the influence, amongst other charges. The embattled actress released a candid statement saying: “It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs. Recently I relapsed and did things for which I am ashamed. The hotel heiress/reality TV star/clothes designer settled a $10 million dollar defamation lawsuit with diamond heiress-actress/film producer/model Zeta Graff August 22. This catfight got nasty along the way to this settlement. The details were not disclosed and if it had not been settled, they would have gone on trial August 27. In the suit, Zeta Graff claimed Paris Hilton spread vicious lies about her to the New York Post in 2005. The Post reported that Graff, who was once dating Hilton’s then-fiancé Paris Latsis, went berserk at a nightclub, tried to throttle the life out of Hilton, according to an ‘unnamed source,’ as well as trying to steal her $4 million dollar diamond necklace.
