For the inheritor of the Hilton fortune is now in jail. In the last few weeks Paris Hilton has been the number one headline in newspapers all over the world. At first it seemed that this rich girl was going to avoid her responsibility. At the end though, justice triumphed and she will serve 23 days in prison. Typically plagued by the worst press Hollywood has to offer, LA Police elected not to charge Lohan with the theft of several thousand dollars worth of clothing from a friend. All of that good karma came crashing to a halt this week as Lindsay drove her Mercedes convertible over a curb and into a large clump of trees. Lohan reportedly fled the scene to a nearby apartment complex where police would later catch up with her. However, this is not a 5-star hotel room or anything to compare with what she is accustomed to in the way of accommodations. There won’t be any alcoholic beverages served, no late night dancing, nor after hour’s celebrations. Sentenced to 45 days in jail, minus the usual 22 days granted for good behavior, she will have to serve the remaining 23 days of the sentence before being released. The concert was to open her European tour. Organizers apologized to Italian fans, and explained that the cancellation was as a result of production delays that left them unready for the opening date. Italian consumer groups had been protesting the show saying the ticket prices were absurdly high. Tickets for the show at the public Stadio Flaminio were retailing from $200 all the way up to $1200 per seat. Organizers have told Italian fans that their tickets would be refunded, and that they would have the opportunity to purchase tickets for other shows on the European tour. Protesting consumer groups had been calling the ticket prices “shameful” and had been urging authorities to deny the star access to the public stadium.
