Evidently Ellen gave the dog to her hairdresser and her daughters. The problem is when DeGeneres picked up the dog at Mutts and Moms; she signed a form stating she would not give the animal away unless the owners were notified. Owners Marina Batkis and Vanessa Chekroun run the non-profit Mutts and Moms out of their store Paws Boutique and are adamant that no animals go to anyone with children younger than 14. DeGeneres’s hairdresser’s children are 11 and 12. She was punished right? Wrong, they simply postponed her arraignment until October 16. No punishment for twice refusing to get on the bus. However, sources say if she again refuses, she will be handcuffed on the bus and she will be at her arraignment. The 28-year-old rapper was arrested in August because she struck Arlene Raymond after the two got into a fight July 30 over Foxy’s blasting her car stereo near her home in Brooklyn. The Pretty Woman star was chosen for the award, which honors career achievements, last July when she was the unanimous choice of the Cinematheque Board of Directors. “I really am just a girl from a little town in Georgia, who had this giant, absurd dream,” she said at the awards ceremony. “I think I came along at a kinder time in the business.” Previous winners include Martin Scorcese, Al Pacino, Nicolas Cage, Steven Spielberg, Nicole Kidman, and Tom Cruise. In December 2006, she was arrested in Honolulu on suspicion of being drunk. This arrest came six months after she pleaded no contest in Los Angeles to a hit and run, drunk driving and driving with a suspended license and was placed on probation. Rodriquez was also ordered to complete a 30-day alcohol rehabilitation program and perform 30 day of community service, including participating in programs run by Mothers against Drunk Driving. In this latest case, Judge Daviann Mitchell ordered that she not be granted work furlough or early release of home confinement. She was also ordered to complete her 30 days of service for the state transportation department. The deal would net her cash, stock options and a one-stop shop for recording, touring, licensing and merchandising deals according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. The package is said to include an advance of $17 million along with payments of $50 to $60 million for three studio albums. Since the Confessions tour was a huge success last year, Madonna gets to keep 90 percent of the gross, if and when she decides to tour again. The remaining 10 percent will go to Live Nation. Spears lost the custody of her two young sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, to ex-husband Kevin Federline last week when Los Angeles judge Scott Gordon has ordered that K-Fed should have custody of the children until “further notice”. It is believed Spears lost custody of the boys because she failed to produce a valid California driving license for the court and failed to turn up for a scheduled drug test.
