Angelina Jolie Visits Syria and Iraq

Angelina Jolie actress and Good Will Ambassador for the United Nations High Command for Refugees, stopped in on Syria and Iraq in a surprise visit August 28.
“I {am here} to help draw attention to this humanitarian crisis and to urge governments to increase their support for UNHCR and its partners,” she said.
Jolie met some 1200 Iraqis who were stranded on the border between Iraq and Syria. Her appeal is to garner more support for the U.N. and its efforts to gain more support for those affected by the Iraq war.

Brangelina constantly find themselves in the spotlight for their humanitarian efforts adopting children. Angelina appeared on Thursday’s Daily Show where Jon Stewart asked about the future of the family, saying, “How high we going, you think?” Angelina simply said with a smile, “It fluctuates between seven and 13 or 14.” Stewart himself has two children, and balked at the high numbers. “Wow, I’ll tell you this: I admire that, because two is kicking my ass.”

Academy Award winner actress Angelina Jolie has started a court process petitioning to have her youngest son’s name, Pax Thien Jolie, changed to Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt.
On March the 15th 2007 the famous actress and model adopted her 4th son, a three-year old boy from Vietnam. The boy was born on November 29th 2003 and abandoned at a local hospital at birth. Originally named Pham Quang San by the local authorities, Jolie adopted the boy at the Ta Bihn orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City.

Thirty–one-year-old Angelina Jolie says “A Mighty Heart” is not designed to be a typical movie; polish and melodrama were avoided in making it. It is based on a memoir by Mariane Pearl, who lost her husband in 2002 while he was in Pakistan researching Islamic militancy. United Nations Good Will Ambassador, Angelina Jolie, checked into the Hyatt Regency in Chi Minh City on Wednesday. According to a CNN report, Jolie is in Vietnam to adopt her 4th child.
Jolie and her son Maddox were greeted at Tam Binh orphanage by children offering flowers. Jolie’s son Maddox (age 5) was adopted from Cambodia. It is believed that Jolie brought Maddox with her to Tam Binh in an effort to get the two boys acquainted.
