A Busy Year Ahead for Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba will be busy this year.  With five (some sources say seven) movies she’s working on, the near-lawsuit of Playboy for using her picture on the cover, when is she going to have time for her engagement?  Alba hasn’t confirmed reports that her longtime boyfriend Cash Warren proposed, but she hasn’t denied them, either, and she was flaunting a ring on her wedding finger during her recent holiday in Miami.

When Playboy used her image on its cover, she argued that it was tricking readers into thinking she was at least partially nude inside the magazine.  Playboy countered that they’d used other celebrities’ photos on the cover before, without them appearing inside, and no one had threatened to sue yet.  Alba says she would rather have more roles than the sexy type she keeps being handed.

Alba’s recent shedding of a bit of weight comes from her toning for the “Fantastic Four” sequel, though her trainer admits the 25-year-old actress does have as much trouble as the rest of us in following such regimens as New Year’s resolutions or fitness programs.  Somewhere in all her busy schedule, Jessica Alba will have to find some way to exercise to keep her much-ogled body.  Her trainer says that even everyday things, like getting up and sitting down, multiple times in a row can provide good exercise.

Voted Most Wanted Celebrity Substitute Teacher of 2006, Jessica Alba has earned another ranking: she’s in the Internet Movie Database’s top twenty-five rankings for 2006.  These rankings aren’t for the number of performances.  Rather, they reflect how many visitors to IMDB have sought the celebrity’s information.  Placing at #3 of 25, she’s up three places from last year and was beaten only by Johnny Depp in first place and Angelina Jolie in second.
