A Room for Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton jail time

Paris Hilton will be checking into her room at the jail in a few days to begin serving her time.  However, this is not a 5-star hotel room or anything to compare with what she is accustomed to in the way of accommodations. There won’t be any alcoholic beverages served, no late night dancing, nor after hour’s celebrations.  Sentenced to 45 days in jail, minus the usual 22 days granted for good behavior, she will have to serve the remaining 23 days of the sentence before being released.  Although it was rumored that Paris would not be receiving any special treatment, some very specific rules have already been put in place.

Thorough searches have been conducted to ensure there are no electronic devices hidden anywhere inside the jail.  There will be no cameras or cell phones, and everyone on the staff has been advised to follow a strict protocol for Ms Hilton’s stay.  Anyone who is found violating the rules will be fired.  She is making every effort to keep her mind off the impending jail term, out shopping and partying with a few of her friends, something she won’t be able to do for a while.

Yesterday, she and her younger sister Nicky were together at the Color Me Mine ceramics store in Beverly Hills.  Paris is finding out, however, that many of her so-called friends have suddenly become unavailable, now that she’s going to be absent from the party scene.  Although she dropped her appeal just two weeks after the sentencing, she probably wishes she hadn’t, as the reality of accepting the consequences of violating her probation for driving with a suspended license is beginning to sink in.

Hilton is extremely depressed and cries frequently, calling her family numerous times a day and night for reassurance.  They, in turn, are lending as much emotional support as possible to help her through this.  Paris has until June 5 to turn herself in at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California.  A roommate, jailed for reckless driving, has been selected to share the cell with Ms Hilton, so perhaps they will have something to talk about.  Although the stay is not a long one, we’re sure Paris will breathe a sigh of relief when it’s over.
