Alicia Silverstone Ready for Primetime

Alicia Silverstone is returning to her roots. No, she isn’t changing hair color again, but instead she is going back to where she first launched her professional acting career – television.

Silverstone will return to television this year in the new NBC primetime television show, “The Singles Table”, which begins at a friend’s wedding where five strangers are brought together at, you guessed it, a table for singles only.

Alicia Silverstone began appearing in television commercials at the young age of six. After several commercials including for Domino’s Pizza, and then a short guest spot on the Wonder Years as the “Dream Girl”.

Silverstone went on to become the dream of many young teenage boys after appearing in music videos for Aerosmith on MTV. Her work with the rock band on their “Cryin’” went on to become the #1 video of all time on MTV.

After her success with the MTV crowd and the obvious appeal and audience draw Silverstone could demand, specifically with teenagers, a plethora of offers began to roll in for the latest and hottest female celebrity on the market.

As a result, Silverstone became emancipated at the age of 15 to be able to skirt the child labor laws that would have interfered with her work, the ability to work longer hours, on the hit movie The Crush and the string of subsequent films.

Alicia Silverstone’s return to television for the upcoming NBC television show, The Singles Table, is a welcome one for those who remember her “early years” on television and music videos.

However, it ought to be noted, should the opportunity arise that you are lucky enough to meet Alicia Silverstone that she has previously declared that “I hate people to call me ‘that Aerosmith chick!’”

In the mean time, tune in this May and check out Alicia Silverstone “The Singles Table.”
