Angelina Jolie Bares It All

Popular actress, humanitarian and U.N. Ambassador Angelina Jolie has never been one to shy away from nudity, whether it be in one of her compelling films such as Gia, Original Sin, Foxfire and Pushing Tin or in a rough around the edges promotional photo.
However, in her newest film Beowulf, the sometimes scary, blood loving temptress turned good girl has developed a new sense of modesty and is reportedly a little shy about baring her whole body in the movie - but don’t get that excited, she’s covered in green and gold paint. Jolie plays an evil yet extremely maternal lizard creature in the film.
What does Angelina have to say about it? “I was really surprised that I felt that exposed...There are certain moments where I felt actually shy – and called home, just to explain that the fun movie that I had done that was digital animation was, in fact, a little different than [what] we expected.”
Though she may look exquisitely divine in all that makeup, the footage was actually filmed while Jolie was three months pregnant with her biological child, Shiloh Nouvel Pitt. The actress says about the scenes filmed while she was expecting, “You wouldn’t know. We did the mapping of my body before. It was a pleasure.”
Beowulf may be one of the more creative films that Angelina has done. The movie lays animation footage over real life scenes shot by the actors, giving it a unique appearance and feel. “I didn’t expect ourselves to come out as much. I didn’t expect it to feel as real, and so because of especially the type of character I play, it was kind of funny at first,” she says of the movie.
Beowulf opens November 16th and will appeal to more than just the genre fan base, possibly due to Angelina Jolie’s involvement with the film. What does the actress and humanitarian like most about her animated amphibian character? “I love my tail,” she says. We can’t wait to see it either!
