Angelina Jolie Joins Forces With Eastwood and Howard

Angelina Jolie has been in the press for so many things other than being an actress; it is easy to forget that she is one.  However, an actress she is; and she is a good one, at that. The star of the gamer movie giant, Lara Croft, Tomb Raider, is set to act again.

Jolie won an Oscar for best supporting actress for her portrayal of Winona Ryder’s nemesis in Girl Interrupted. This film is the true story of Susanna Kaysen experience of being diagnosed as bi-polar, and her stay in an all female mental facility.

It is another true story that Jolie is set to star in.  According to the Hollywood daily newspaper, Daily Variety, Jolie has been cast in the lead of The Changeling.
This time the film covers a series of true events in the life of a woman ( living in the 1920’s) whose child has been abducted.  Her child is retrieved by police and returned to her. However, she believes that she has been given the wrong child. She must then confront and fight a corrupt police department—hard enough for anyone to do today; let alone a lone woman in the 1920’s.

The Changeling is set to be directed by Clint Eastwood. Eastwood has won best director Oscars for his films The Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby. Eastwood first came to fame for his acting in 60’s and 70’s westerns, most notably, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Eastwood was once fired from a movie company because his adam’s apple is too big.

Jolie met her partner, Brad Pitt, during the filming of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. The two fell in love during the shooting of the film. This sparked a huge amount of controversy because Pitt was married to Jennifer Anniston at the time.

A United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, Jolie loves children and is set to adopt her third child from a developing country.  Jolie’s passion for children should give her acting role in The Changeling, an extra boost.  Ron Howard and Brian Grazier will be producing the film.
