Anna Nicole Smith Died of an Accidental Overdose

Tuesday, March 27, 2007

In a press conference on Monday, Broward Medical Examiner Joshua Perper released the cause of death in the Anna Nicole Smith case. His findings revealed that Anna Nicole died of an accidental overdose of prescription medications.

Seminole Police Chief Charlie Tiger said that all evidence was thoroughly studied; including several hours of video footage and the contents of a lap top computer. Seminole police found no evidence of foul play.

Toxicology reports indicate that Anna Nicole was taking a mixture of anti-depressants, anti anxiety drugs, a pain medication, a sleep aid, growth hormones, and vitamin B-12 shots.  She was also taking an antibiotic because she complained of having the flu.

The autopsy report indicates that she had an infected area on her body--probably from B-12 shots and the growth hormone.  Mr. Perper believes that this infection was probably the cause of the flu like symptoms. He believes that if she had sought medical treatment from a hospital or local doctor; she would probably be alive today. He believes this because he thinks that her discomfort form the infection probably caused her to take more of the sleep aid and pain medication.

Mr. Perper stated that he found no evidence of Lupus or any other disease. There was no indication as to why Anna Nicole was taking a growth hormone and B-12 injections.

Last week, Anna Nicole’s diary was auctioned off for $500,000.  The unnamed buyer works for the press and is hoping to sell the diary’s contents. It is said that the diary reveals that Anna Nicole did not like sex, partied with her mother, and cried when her cat died.

Authorities in the Bahamas are set to start an inquest into the death of Anna Nicole’s son, Daniel. Proceedings are scheduled to start today (Tuesday).

A spokesperson for Howard Stern said Monday that, “He is deeply saddened and his loss is immense”.
