Canadian rock star and movie actress Avril Lavigne is the new proud owner of a 9.5 million-dollar mansion that includes –among many other fancy accessories- more than 10 luxurious bathrooms.
Avril together with her husband, lead singer Deryck Whibley decided to buy the beautiful house formerly owned by the famous couple Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler located in Bel-Air, Los Angeles. The beautiful mansion really has some story of its own as it served as filming location for the MTV reality Show “Meet the Barkers”.
The show “Meet the Barkers” aired from April 2005 to June 2006. It showed the daily lives of Blink-182 former drummer Travis Barker, his wife and 3 kids. Currently the couple is separated, are following a MySpace battle and Barker has been sentimentally linked with Hilton heiress Paris Hilton.
According to official sources, the 12,000 square-feet, three-story high, beautiful Tuscan styled mansion has 10½ bathrooms, no less than 8 bedrooms, a fancy styled elevator, a beautiful fully-equipped kitchen, a sauna with steam shower, a regular size pool and complete spa. Just to make sure there is plenty of space for visiting friends or relatives, the mansion counts on its 1-acre land with a 10-car garage and striking gardens.
Whatever the reason, the couple where pretty sure they wanted the house at all moments. “She had to have it”, said real state broker Arnold Horland, whose wife and business partner Robin Lucas from Re/Max Olson Real State sold the house to the famous singer.
Lavigne career is going thru a great moment. Her third album “The Best Damn Thing” is set for release on April 2007 and is currently being produced by renowned producer Dr. Luke and herself. She is also pursuing an acting career, currently participating in the film “The Flock” and soon starting on the “Fast Food Nation”, movie based on her favorite book.
