Kim Basinger Calls Alec Baldwin Unstable

Actress Kim Basinger is denying that she leaked the angry voice mail Alec Baldwin made to their daughter.
Basinger’s rep released a statement from the actress which read, “Everybody is always asking why this custody battle has been going on for so many years and now they have the answer. The issue is not about Kim or the alleged alienation that Alec constantly refers to. It is about his ongoing aggressive behavior.”
In the statement Basinger denies that the voice mail was sealed under a court order; contrary to a statement released by Baldwin’s attorneys. Baldwin claims that the voice mail was sealed in a court file and had been leaked by someone on Basinger’s side in an effort to make him look bad.
The continuing three year custody battle over their eleven year old daughter, Ireland, intensified last week when a website posted a threatening call Baldwin made to Ireland. In the call he belittles his daughter and calls her a “rude little pig”.
Baldwin defends his actions by saying that he was stressed out and on the edge after years of court battles. He claims that he is a victim of parental alienation (when one parents alienates the child from the other parent during a custody battle).
The public isn’t buying his excuse and he is even being criticized on his own web site.
Basinger’s reps are saying that she wants only the best for both Baldwin and their daughter, “Kim’s sincerest wish is for him to finally address his unstable and irrational behavior so he, at some point, can potentially create a relationship with his daughter,” However, Basinger is determined to keep fighting for what is right for her child. The rep continued, “Until then, Kim will continue to protect and safeguard her child’s well-being as any parent would.”
Keeping her child safe includes hiring extra security. Over the weekend Basinger hired extra security to guard Ireland against the paparazzi that have been surrounding her since the voice mail made it to the web.
