Thursday, July 26, 2007

Beyonce Knowles was wearing high heels and a red trench coat when she took a bad fall while performing in concert at the Amway Arena in Orlando Fl. July 24.

The 25 year-old former Destiny’s Child singer was performing her song ‘Ring the Alarm’ when her coat’s hem caught in her shoes causing her to tumble down a flight of stairs.

Beyonce, who immediately picked herself up and continued with the performance, sustained a bruised knee and a scrapped shin, which some concert goers said bled during the performance. She did leave the stage briefly after her song finished, but came back to continue with her next number while sitting on a stool on stage.

The public praised the star for getting back up and continuing to rock the audience despite a bleeding leg. Beyonce half jokingly asked the audience to not put the fall on video outlets, such as You Tube, but her pleas fell on deaf ears as the video turned up on the popular Web site almost immediately.

Beyonce, born Beyonce Giselle Knowles was born September 4, 1981 to a loving family in Houston, Texas and showed a talent for music at a very young age.

At the age of 10, Beyonce formed a musical group with LaTavia Robertson and her cousin Kelly Rowland and performed together on Star Search.

The all girl group cemented their group by calling themselves ‘Destiny’s Child. The group’s first hit was ‘No, No, No’, which went multi-platinum and impressed critics and audiences alike.

Beyonce showed versatility in her talent for singing, modeling and acting. When Destiny’s Child broke up, Beyonce’s solo career took off with several hits and had audiences laughing in the aisles with her screen debut in 2003 with Mike Myers in the Austin Powers hit ‘Goldmember.’

Beyonce also is a spokesman for L’Oreal and Pepsi.

Beyonce Knowles fans know that the show goes on. Despite the hard fall, the female celebrity braved the rest of the concert, delighting her fans and proving that Beyonce Knowles is first a performer and entertainer.
