Britney Reveals Title Of New Album
Monday, October 08, 2007
Britney Spears’ new album is to be called Blackout and the success of her current single Gimme More indicates that there is still plenty of demand for the troubled star’s music.
Last month, there were fears of the future of her singing career after her long-awaited comeback turned out to be a major anti-climax as the 25-year-old star failed to excite when she performed at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Her new album, her first studio album in four years, is due out on November 11.
Dressed in a bra and briefs, which did little to hide the fact that she is seriously out of shape, Spears; badly-mimed performance of her new single Gimme More lacked the energy and sass that shot her to stardom.
And things went from bad to worse last week when Baby One More Time singer lost the custody of her two young sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, to ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Los Angeles judge Scott Gordon has ordered that Federline should have custody of the children until “further notice”.
It is believed she lost custody of her two sons because she failed to produce a valid California driving license for the court and failed to turn up for a scheduled drug test.
This was just the latest in a long line of setbacks for the singer. She has been hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons this year and has been in and out of rehab a number of times and has fallen out with her management company.
Last month she was charged with a hit and run incident where she hit a parked car and drove off. She could face six months in jail and a $1,000 fine if convicted.
