According to Us Weekly, Britney Spears gave birth to a baby boy overnight, Wednesday, September 14, 2005, at the Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center in California. No other details were immediately available and her publicist is remaining silent for the time being, not returning phone calls by the AP or other news agencies.

The pop queen made no secret that foremost she wanted to be a mom, but she was equally confident that she did not want to undergo the pain of childbirth. She recently told Elle magazine that she was already fairly confident that she would elect to undergo a caesarean section (c-section) operation when the time came for Baby Spears. After listening to her mom give details of the excruiating pain of child birth, Britney Spears was soon planning on avoiding the ordeal of pain by electing to give birth via c-section.

Though the couple have not yet legally named their baby boy, current rumors hold that Preston Michael Spears Federline is the settled upon name for Baby Spears-Federline.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline had previously disclosed that they were looking more at global names, even referring to an atlas for ideas.
