Britney Spears First Visit with Children a Success

Tuesday, October 09, 2007

October 7th was a great day for Britney Spears. That is the day ex-husband Kevin Federline brought Sean Preston 2 and Jayden James 1 to Britney’s mansion in Malibu for the first time since Federline was given custody. The kids stayed for the whole afternoon with a nanny as per court order, according to E Online.

A family court commissioner ruled that Britney could have supervised visits with her children every other day as long as she complies with a number of court orders, including undergoing drug and alcohol testing. Spears’ refusal or forgetfulness of obtaining a California drivers license and undergoing a required drug test is why K-Fed has custody of the kids.

Mothering appears to be on Spears’ mind these days as the ‘Gimme More’ singer reunited with her mom Lynne Spears. They haven’t spoken since June. At that time, Spears told mommy to back off after the elder Spears went public expressing her concern with the way Britney’s been acting.

The reunion was originally scheduled for the Columbus Day weekend in Kentwood, Louisiana, but Spears was uncomfortable traveling out of state with the courts watching her every move. So Lynn and younger sister Jamie Lynn flew into Los Angeles October 5th.

Britney’s next court hearing is Oct. 26th and if she behaves, the court order on visitation or custody could be relaxed. She also has a court-ordered monitor who has the authority to terminate visitation if any conduct or action by Spears is seen as endangering the children.

In the meantime, Spears’ single ‘Gimme More’ topped the digital song charts last week and the video was broadcast for the first time Oct. 7 on MTV’s TRL.
Her album Blackout, her first studio album in four years is set for a Nov. 13th debut.
