Britney Spears loses custody battle

Poor Britney, she just can’t win. The Court Commissioner Scott Gordon ruled October 30 against reinstating Britney Spears’ shared custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James. The boys are in the care of their father Kevin Federline.

Britney is able to visit the children two times a week from 12 to 7 p.m., and one overnight visit. All visits are to be with a court-appointed monitor. It was Lisa Hacker’s parenting coach report on Britney’s parenting skills that probably made the Court Commissioner’s decision to not let Britney regain custody, shared or otherwise, of the children according to E Online.

Hacker stated in her report that the singer appeared to be having trouble with connecting with her children, the boys had no routine while at their mom’s home and the environment at the house ranged from chaotic to nearly somber with little communication at all. Hacker also said choices made were dependent more on what Britney wanted to do at any given time rather than what would be more fun for the children.

“The problem is that unless Ms. Spears realizes the consequences of her behavior and the impact it has for her children, nothing is going to be successful,” Hacker wrote.

Oddly enough, Spears also requested to terminate or modify the court order requiring her to submit to twice-weekly random drug testing, which was turned down. The court ordered her to continue the tests for another 60-day period. If the tests are clean, they will be reduced to once a week.

A full custody hearing is underway and could be completed by January. Another custody hearing has been scheduled for April. Perhaps in six month, Britney Spears will start to get a clue.
