Britney Spears Still Topping Lists in 2006

That Britney Spears has been making less-than-advisable choices lately is old news.  Partying with friends like Paris Hilton, “forgetting” her underwear, and (possibly) facing investigation of her parenting abilities have all kept this pop singer in the news without the release of a new album.

Her ongoing panty-less party binge and photos have gained her the dubious honor of being #1 on Star Magazine’s “most annoying” list.  She’s also #1 on ViralVideoChart.com for the year’s top viral videos from a clip of babbling (and burping) on the subject of time travel.  The second is her (soon-to-be ex-)husband Kevin Federline evidently learning of the coming divorce through a text message.

Eager to be rid of her (ex-)husband’s house, she’s bought one of the top 40 most expensive homes for sale in Beverly Hills, with a size cut to boot.  She says she loves the place, though; she demanded the owners get out within five days and leave the furniture.

If Britney Spears thought she still kept some sympathetic fans among her fellow dog lover audience, she was disillusioned by the online poll a pair of dog-related magazines made.  She’s won yet another 2006 distinction as the worst dog lover; evidently she spends more time with humans than with her three Chihuahuas.  She also hasn’t been seen in public with her dogs since she started having kids with K-Fed.

Britney also found herself booed at a Lakers basketball game this past weekend.  After her face on the Jumbotron resulted in a bunch of fun poked her way, she left the game before halftime.
