Cameron Diaz Ends Relationship With Justin Timberlake

Cameron Diaz and Justine Timberlake have called it quits. Diaz and Timberlake were one of the most popular and most highly photographed couples of the past year. The pair have finally ended their long relationship after weeks of spending time away from one another.  In a joint statement released Thursday, Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake said, “We have, in fact, ended our romantic relationship, and have done so mutually and as friends, with continued love and respect for one another”.

This comes as no surprise to friends of the couple who have told reporters that the pair have spent less and less time together during the past few weeks.  The last time the two were seen together in public was in Dec. when Timberlake hosted Saturday Night Live. Cameron Diaz went solo to Tuesday’s People Choice Awards where she won the coveted trophy for favorite leading lady. She also declined to attend the premiere of Justin Timberlake’s new movie, Alpha Dog. Timberlake reportedly took his mom as his date. The two spent the holidays apart with Timberlake in Tennessee with his family and Diaz skiing alone in Colorado

Friends say that the couple have grown in different directions during the past few months. It is reported that Justin Timberlake is still very much in to the club scene where as Cameron Diaz prefers a more quiet night at home. Timberlake does not seem to be spending much time sulking. He is already being spotted with a host of beautiful babes. Cameron Diaz is laying low until the smoke clears.
