Cate Blanchett Expecting Third Child

Well, Cate Blanchett just wrapped up a movie with Harrison Ford ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ which will premiere May 22 and she just completed the filming of David Fincher’s adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s romantic fantasy, ‘The Curious Care of Benjamin Button with Brad Pitt and still she has another production in the works, her third child.
Yes, it is true that the 38 year-old and her husband playwright Andrew Upton will be expecting their third bundle of joy sometime in April. They don’t know the sex of the child yet, but if it is a girl, Cate said they will need to redecorate the nursery as they already have two boys, Dashiell John who is five and Roman Robert who is three.
Cate let the news out while on the red carpet circuit in Sydney for the premiere of the film Elizabeth: The Golden Age. Cate has played the character Elizabeth the First once before in the 1998 film Elizabeth, which she was nominated for a best actress award, but lost to Gwyneth Paltrow for Shakespeare In Love. Cate went on to win an Academy Award for best supporting actress playing Catherine Hepburn in the Aviator.
Cate and her husband will begin their three-year tenure as joint artistic directors of the Sydney Theatre Company, the country’s largest theater troupe in January, according to E! Online
Blanchett will also be in the upcoming animated comedy as the voice of Mrs. Fox, opposite the voice of George Clooney’s Mr. Fox in ‘The Fantastic Mr. Fox, based on the Roald Dahl novel.
