Christina Aguilera Confirms Pregnancy At Last

Christina Aguilera has purportedly been pregnant for awhile now – and she can no longer dodge the baby rumors that are surrounding her. After Paris Hilton’s big mouthed announcement in Las Vegas some months ago in September, the powerhouse pop singer finally says, “Yes, I’m pregnant!”
There really was no denying Aguilera and her husband Jordan Bratman had a bun in the oven – paparazzi continued to snap photos of Christina’s expanding belly and shopping for cribs, baby clothes and other new baby items. The biggest giveaway of all was when Aguilera dressed as a “spider witch” for Halloween, baring her growing belly in a tight, stretchy spandex suit, complete with a glitter spider web showing off the bump.
The crooner used an interview with popular magazine Glamour to announce her happy news. Christina says she will “enter into mommy hood next year” and that she “wants to get it right.” Will the talented singer be staying home with the little one? Certainly not! Aguilera gushes to the mag that she wants to be a working mother, balancing her career with motherhood and caring for a child.
How does hubby feel about the upcoming arrival? “He’s thrilled,” says the singer. “He’s just great… [he is] so supportive and amazing through everything. He came with me on the last leg of the tour and he was my support system.”
This news comes as a welcome to friends and family who were wondering if Aguilera was ever going to announce the pregnancy. This will be Christina and Jordan’s first child, and no word on whether they’re planning for just one or for a big family. Does Christina know whether the baby is a boy or girl? Not yet – and onlookers have seen her purchasing both boy and girl friendly baby items. We’ll just wait and see!
