Drew Barrymore, age 32, has now joined a list of celebrity women who have modeled for CoverGirl.  Foremost, though, she acts as a consultant on design elements of the shoots.  The makeup she leaves to their choices since it’s their expertise, but she wants her own personality in the ads.  She aims to make the ads positive and edgy, an aim which will undoubtedly define itself as she works with CoverGirl.

Barrymore admits she’s a control freak, but she does her best to restrain it when necessary.  She likes involvement in all elements of a design.  Her strong will was what made the company approach her for the job, with her natural energy and beauty.  She’s pleased with the idea of playing dress-up and modeling, though she confesses she’s really more apt to be found in jeans and a T than anything else.  As CoverGirl model, though, look for her in a nude-toned dress designed to emphasize the makeup.

This will be the first showing in commercials for “Charlie’s Angels” star, though she has advertised Guess Jeans and Missoni in the past.  Barrymore is honored to be picked by such a longstanding leading company as a model.  Her own production company, Flower Films, will also be involved in the effort.  (Flower Films has produced such movies as “Never Been Kissed” and “Charlie’s Angels.")

Evidently still on her partying binge after her split from long-time boyfriend Fabrizio Moretti, she evidently had a few vodka too many at a party for The Echo store’s opening.  She hit the dance floor and had some rather unflattering pictures taken by paparazzi.  Her forgotten bra didn’t exactly help.
