Eva Longoria; a not so Desperate Housewife

Eva Longoria is likely best well known for her role as Gabrielle in ABC’s hit drama series Desperate Housewives. In the last 3 years Eva’s character has gone from having an affair with their teenage gardener, to having a miscarriage, surviving a divorce and this year becoming a mayor’s wife. Although Eva’s character Gabrielle is quite up and down when it comes to her personal life, Eva seems quite the opposite. This summer she will marry her long time fiancé, San Antonio spurs star Tony Parker.

The couple is scheduled to exchange vows in possibly the world’s most romantic city, Paris in France. The wedding date is scheduled for July 7th just two days before Eva starts shooting season 4 of desperate housewives. The tight schedule means that Eva and her new husband won’t have much time to enjoy a honeymoon in Paris; however both partners are used to hectic schedules and making sacrifices.

The wedding is expected to have over 200 hundred invited guests. It is also rumored to take place in the St. Germaine L’Auxerrios, loosely translated meaning parish of the kings.
Between the Wedding and Desperate housewives, Eva has been kept busy. She has made several planning trips to France to view the location for the impending nuptials. She has also had multiple wedding showers thrown in her honor by Desperate Housewives co- stars Terri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman.

Eva’s life is extremely busy but she makes time for causes close to her heart. One of these is Padres contra El cancer or Parents against Cancer. Eva is the national spokeswoman for the organization and frequently hosts fundraisers to raise money and awareness.

Eva will resume her role as Gabrielle on July 9th when shooting begins. The 4th season of Desperate Housewives will be on our screens again in early September. Both Eva and Gabrielle will surely make an outstanding contribution to one of ABC’s most popular shows.
