Girls Aloud Killed and Tortured: Sick Fan Fiction

Friday, July 27, 2007

Girls Aloud members Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh

Girls Aloud have a new reason to loudly sing their new song, “You Freak Me Out.” Fan fiction has long been a part of the celebrity industry; however, sometimes it can get out of hand.

A fan of Girls Aloud has posted his own story titled Girls (Scream) Aloud on an American website, the Kristen Archives.

His story, which has been described on the site as “The very sexy deaths of all five members of the world’s sexiest all-girl group” details plans to kill Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh before cutting up their dead bodies and selling them part by part on eBay.

His story, published on the restricted access site, starts with the warning, “This story contains imaginary descriptions of the rape, torture and mutilation of five of the sexiest girls in pop today.”

The website features thousand of pieces of explicit fiction, including brutal murders, torture and child abuse.

The writer has insisted that he would never actually carry out the attacks and that it is similar to many novels and films involving murder.  The man, who has not been named, emphasized this point strongly, “I cannot stress enough that this is strictly fictitious.”

With deranged minds capable of such thoughts, it would be no surprise if the members of Girls Aloud, whose first album includes a track called You Freak Me Out, were a little uncomfortable in public.

However, they are to continue their lives as normal and a spokesman for the girls said, “We won’t give this person the satisfaction that the girls care.

“They have security with them all the time, they are safe enough.”

The band was formed in 2002 on the UK’s reality show Popstars: The Rivals and hold the record for shortest time between forming and reaching number one in the UK charts.  They are included in this year’s Guinness Book of Records as the ‘Most Successful Reality TV Group’.
