Halle Berry Confirms Pregnancy

Tabloids have been making a killing as of late pinning pregnancy on celebrities before the baby news is even officially announced.  Among the pregnant celebs to be pegged were Britney Spears during both her first and second pregnancies, Nichole Richie and the as-yet-to-be-confirmed Christina Aguilera.  Rarely does a celebrity get to announce their own pregnancy to a surprised audience – often, by the time the baby news is confirmed, it is old news.

Not so with Halle Berry!  The famous actress has avoided the paparazzi lens for three months – the length of time Berry announces she has been pregnant with boyfriend Gabriel Aubry’s child.  The gorgeous star confirms in an exclusive interview with Access Hollywood, “Yes, I am three months pregnant! Gabriel and I are beyond excited, and I’ve waited a long time for this moment in life. Now the next seven months will be the longest of my life!” Halle Berry and Nancy O’Dell of Access Hollywood have been friends for several years, so it made perfect sense for Halle to give her old friend the news first.  Nancy says of Halle, “I am beyond ecstatic for my friend Halle! I told her she is about to embark on the best time of her life! She is such a sweet person...so genuine...and therefore, will make an incredible mom. And can you imagine how gorgeous this baby is gonna be!”

Although the actress is 41 and her age automatically puts her in a high-risk category with her pregnancy, this little surprise couldn’t have come at a better time.  With her acting career in full swing and an Oscar under her belt, what more could Halle Berry ask for?  No news yet on whether the joyous couple plan to marry but we may be hearing wedding bells in the not too distant future!
