Has Rosie O’Donnell Gone Too Far This Time?
Monday, February 12, 2007
While Rosie O’Donnell has built a career on bashing fellow “celebrities”, she may have over stepped the mark with her recent unprovoked attack on Anna Nicole Smith. The Hollywood loud mouth was on TV just hours prior to the tragic death of Smith, and issued a statement which did little to hide her contempt for the former Playboy Model and multi-millionaire.
On Thursday (just prior to the tragic news) she delivered the following comments on “The View”:
“If I have to see Anna Nicole Smith one more time on television, one more time, that woman and her paternity tests and she can hardly even speak now. She can’t even speak. It’s a tragedy all around. Her son died. She has this little baby. There’s obviously some kind of medication or substance involved,”
While many had been very vocal in their dislike of Ms Smith, few had been so controversial with unfounded claims of substance abuse as Ms O’Donnell. Even though she was not to know of the tragic events which were to follow, it seems that personal attacks, as well as a very difficult personal life, had all impacted upon the mental state of Ms Smith.
Rosie O’Donnell was forced to issue a grovelling statement after the tragic news of Ms Smith’s death was confirmed. This comes hot on the heels of her attack on Donald Trump which resulted in a massive back lash from the US public. While she has made her name at the expense of others, many are now questioning the future of Ms O’Donnell as a celebrity critic.
Time will tell how the US public react to the latest events, but surely even Ms O’Donnell should take stock and reconsider the repercussions of her vicious unprovoked attacks on US celebrities. Will she ever learn her lesson?

I think Rosie should really learn to keep her mouth shut. She’s always gets upset when people make fun of gays and lesbians, but there is no end to her tyrade of stupidity and name calling against other people that are “not the same as her”. I personally think her time in the spotlight has and is coming to an end.

When I first layed eyes on That hot new Guess Jeans model it was love at first site. Oh yeah’ Anna Nicole Smith had me at hello, and in death she still does. I don’t care about her personal life as it was portrayed in the tabloids, she was a human being and from what I saw and read,a really good mom. Kudos to John Travolta for speaking up on how good a person she was. Rosie, you may never would’ve liked me because first of all I never like you, and if America did’nt like you before they sure have good reason to now.
