Heather Mills Hits The US

Heather Mills has hit the US TV screens with a blaze of publicity after her appearance on the American TV version of hit UK show “Strictly Come Dancing”.  Ms Mills has attracted rave reviews for her “gutsy” performances as she battles with her false leg, which was the result a road accident a few years ago.

Ms Mills is currently in the middle of an acrimonious divorce from husband Sir Paul McCartney, a member of the Beatles, otherwise known as the “Fab Four”.  While the divorce settlement has been dragging on for months, with many pointing the finger at Ms Mills, she now claims that her husband’s lawyers are “dragging things out”.

Some of the figures mentioned in this most public of cases have been astronomical, with Ms Mills lawyers indicating that her husband is worth in the region of $1.5 billion - a figure strongly refuted by Sir Paul.  Despite only being married for 4 years, Ms Mills is supposedly looking for a pay-off in the region of $60 million, or $20,000 a day for the rest of her life!

Her reputation in the UK has been tainted some what by rumors of a controversial career in the world of adult modeling, as well as other less than complimentary stories in the press.  She has suffered a fall in her UK public profile, with many now speculating that her recent venture to the US and appearances on the various high profile chat shows, such as the Larry King Show, offer the first steps towards a new life overseas.

Ex-Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney has been silent throughout most of the upset, with his thoughts appearing to be with their young daughter, who is at the center of a tug of love battle.  Quite how this will end remains to be seen, but the US public should brace themselves for more appearances from the ever cheerful Ms Mills.
