Jane Seymour to Miss Taping For Dancing With The Stars
Thursday, October 04, 2007
Jane Seymour newest British member of Dancing with the Stars, but best known as Dr. Quinn on the T.V. show, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman of a few years ago will not be on the October 9 episode of Dancing with the Stars.
The 56-year-old star of small screen ‘made for T.V. movies’ will be attending the funeral of her mom, Mieke Frankenberg who died Oct 2 at the age of 92 from complications of a stroke she suffered earlier this year, according to E Online.
Seymour decided to join the Dancing with the Stars program because it was her mom’s favorite show. Seymour said her mom would not miss the show and got very excited when she told her mom she was going to be on the show in her honor. When she asked her mom if she would be proud of her if she did go on the show, her mom said yes. Seymour said that was the only word she spoke since she had the stroke.
“My mother survived incredible challenges,” Seymour said. “Her health issues that she never complained about…three and a half years in a Japanese concentration camp in World War II and the loss of her husband John who was the love of her life.” “However, she was always a beacon of love and hope for all she met and especially for her sisters Anne and Sally and for her entire family. Her spirit was indomitable and will continue to live forever in our hearts.”
Jane was able to hold her own in the first two performances of the season, in the fox trot and Mambo and found herself in a five-way tie following the Oct 2 show and earned 21 out of 30 points.
It is not known yet if the new Dancing queen, who is partnered with Tony Dovolani, will return October 8th should she make the cut.
