Jessica Alba - The Invisible Woman

Following on from the highly successful and highly acclaimed “Fantastic Four”, released two years ago, comes “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer”. This epic comic-strip-hero sequel casts the same stars as the Fantastic Four, namely Ioan Gruffud, Michael Chiklis, Chris Evans and of course the lovely Jessica Alba. Joining forces with them for the sequel is their former archenemy Dr.Doom (Julian McMahon), their aim to stop the Silver Surfer from destroying planet earth.
The movie has already grossed $57.4m in sales in its first week, outstripping the first “Fantastic Four” movie by over $1m.

Obviously the greatest female star of the movie is Jessica, who plays the part of Susan Storm Richards, otherwise known as ‘The Invisible Woman”. The role continues the pattern of Alba’s portrayal of strong female characters, a role which she has stated that she always likes to play. Such strong roles don’t seem to have done her any harm in the ratings for the sexiest leading ladies. Maxim magazine placed her at No.2 in their Top 100 Sexiest Women, whilst FHM placed her at No.1 in their Sexiest Women in the World listing for 2007.

In light of such acclaim, she was warmly received at the premiere of “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer” in London’s Leicester Square. Walking out with her Fantastic Four co-stars and director Tim Story, she dazzled onlookers and talked about the film. Her cousins have been particularly impressed by the film, and Jessica said:

“It’s so funny seeing yourself as an action figure! But my family love it - I have lots of cousins and they’ve all started collecting them, which is funny!”

After the premiere, the cast and crew were seen indulging themselves in the London nightlife, at least for a little while. Jessica stayed only a short while at the after-show celebrations, and she slipped away for an early night protected by her bodyguards.
