Jessica Simpson Still Fashionable

Female celebrity Jessica Simpson turned many heads Monday night with her Roberto Cavalli halter-top dress, its plunging neckline, and a not so blonde hair style. The 26 year old Simpson and other celebrities provided fodder for fashion critiques that night at the annual Costume Institute Gala held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. This year’s gala celebrated designer Paul Poiret, known for his use of shocking colors and exotic references; the exhibition will be showcased at the Met through August 5, 2007.
Jessica Simpson didn’t seem to feel the need for excessive jewelry or accessories to draw attention to her chest, which seemed to sit fine with its designer.
“She’s so beautiful, she’s so sexy, she’s completely my muse,” gushed Roberto.
Simpson was touched by the compliment, but didn’t loose focus on the dress itself, asking “Do I get free clothes?”
Jessica Simpson has been infamously known for her blonde hair and the new, darker color has drawn its own attention. Despite her trademark blondness, Jess has admitted her current brunette is her natural hair color. She was extremely blonde as a child, but it darkened as she aged.
Though Simpson declares that she’s comfortable in her own skin, she is apparently bothered by comparison with her younger sister. Two years ago, she was the hot blonde in the media, and now the younger, Ashlee Simpson, is in that place. Even Simpson’s own boyfriend, John Mayer, has confused a photo of Ashlee for Jessica. Some claim a sibling war or falling-out is brewing from the awkward situation.
Still focused on the here and now though, Jessica Simpson is finalizing details and will be ready to expand her clothing line and will launch some new items this year, if things go according to plan. She hopes to add handbags, jewelry, sunglasses, swimwear, and more to her already developed items. Her shoe line will similarly expand.
After getting in shape and buffing up for her role as Daisy Duke in the summer hit comedy movie, The Dukes of Hazard, Jessica Simpson is capitalizing on her new fit, more muscular physique. This July, she will model her own swimsuits in the Miami Swim Show. All designs will be subject to Jess’s personal approval.
Simpson continues to expand and build on other parts of her diversified career that keeps her in the top of female celebrity news. In an upcoming acting role, Jessica Simpson will star as an out-of-luck actress in “Major Movie Star.” Her character joins the Marines to convince her bosses that she can act in a film with a military theme; filming is set to begin June 2007 in Louisiana.
