Angelina Jolie Son to be named Jolie-Pitt

Academy Award winner actress Angelina Jolie has started a court process petitioning to have her youngest son’s name, Pax Thien Jolie, changed to Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt.

On March the 15th 2007 the famous actress and model adopted her 4th son, a three-year old boy from Vietnam. The boy was born on November 29th 2003 and abandoned at a local hospital at birth. Originally named Pham Quang San by the local authorities, Jolie adopted the boy at the Ta Bihn orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City.

Regarding the legal issues associated with the process that is currently on course at the West LA Superior Court, it can be said that the petition to change the boy’s name is being made by the “mother only” as Pax Thien’s father appears as “N/A – adopted child”. Presumably, Angelina wants the child to have the same last name as her other three siblings: Maddox Jolie-Pitt, Zahara Jolie-Pitt and Shiloh Jolie-Pitt

As a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency, Jolie has certainly become very involved with all sorts of humanitarian acts both in her professional and personal life. On March the 10th 2002 Jolie adopted her first child Maddox Chivan. Born in Cambodia on August 5, 2001, he was adopted after the famous actress visited the city twice while she was filming the blockbuster movie ‘Tombraider’ and at the same time participating at a United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) trip. The boy is famous for his particular mohawk hairstyle and is quite loved by the media, having been named the “cutest celebrity kid” by different tabloids. 

On July 6, 2005 Jolie adopted her second child, a six-month old girl from Ethiopia, Zahara Marley, after she was orphaned by Aids. The little girl had to spend some time at a U.S. hospital for malnutrition and dehydration treatment.

Jolie’s only biological child – Shiloh Nouvel - was born on May 27, 2006 in Namibia. The little girl’s name means the “The Peaceful One” according to ancient Biblical text.
