Julia Roberts is busier than ever…

Julia Roberts is back in the film making news with a very busy work schedule. For a while it seemed that Julia was on a vacation from Hollywood, being a full-time Mom with her twins and enjoying life with her husband and cinematographer, Danny Moder. She was never too far out of the spotlight, however, appearing on Oprah and in April of this year on Broadway. Although the Broadway play Three Days of Rain received somewhat mixed reviews, Julia has kept busy since then, voicing the role of Charlotte in Charlotte’s Web and playing a part in the animated Ant Bully. Currently, she is filming Charlie Wilson’s War, with Tom Hanks and Philip Seymour Johnson. Next on the agenda, Julia will star in the film Happiness Sold Separately, based on Lolly Winston’s novel about a failed marriage. Playing the part of Elinor, a strong and determined housewife in suburbia, this won’t be a glamorous role of expensive clothes and fancy hotels. She will be a woman of courage, emotion, and integrity, as she finds herself unable to conceive a child and discovers her husband’s affair with the personal trainer. The film will be produced by Roberts’ Red Om Productions, along with Team Todd and Revolution Studios.
Julia is also scheduled to appear in the upcoming film, Eat, Pray, Love, a Ryan Murphy production. In addition, there is even more planned for her busy work schedule. Red Om productions has secured the contract for Julia to star in The Friday Night Knitting Club, from the new novel by Kate Jacobs, as well as being considered for a series of movies based upon the American Girls dolls. There is no doubt we will see much more of our favorite, who we feel quite certain was only temporarily replaced by Nicole Kidman as Hollywood’s top-paid leading actress. Julia Roberts’ talent, charm, and winning smile will continue to capture us all.
