Kate Middleton Loses Her Prince

The rumors are true: Kate Middleton and Prince William have called it quits.

Kate and Prince William first met while they both were attending St. Andrews University in Scotland. The two have been dating for four years.

Kate seemed perfect for the throne. She fit the part and made it look effortless. She wore the perfect clothes, the perfect makeup and had the perfect attitude for the royal throne. Britons were so sure a royal wedding was coming up that booking houses stopped taking bets on whether or not it would happen. Top British retailers, such as Woolworth’s, were even designing wedding memorabilia for future sale.

All hopes were smashed over the weekend when it was made public that the couple had decided to call it quits. All reports indicate that the couple split amicably.

Kate came to the forefront of society when she started dating Prince William four years ago. Her face was splashed all over the front page of magazines and newspapers. At first, Kate seemed to be handling it like a pro.

However, things took a sour note in February. Kate and her family attended Prince William’s graduation from a military academy. Her family’s prominent seat at the ceremony sealed the likely-hood of a future marriage in the eyes of the public.

Reporters started following Kate to work. They hounded her everywhere she went. Things came to a boiling point when Kate and her family filed a complaint against the tabloids with the British government. Kate won and the tabloid in question had to give a public apology.

According to an ABC News report, the elder Royals were getting nervous. Prince William’s relationship with Kate Middleton was too much like his father and mother’s courtship (Prince Charles and Princess Diana).  Wishing to avoid any future scandals it is rumored, the elder Royals advised Prince William to either commit to marriage or let Kate continue on with her life.

Reports are claiming that, after the break up, Prince William went out partying.
