Katie Holmes Continues Celebration

Katie Holmes continued to celebrate her marriage to actor Tom Cruise this weekend in Hollywood.  She married Tom Cruise last month during a lavish ceremony in Rome, Italy. She and her husband then spent their 2 week honeymoon on a private yacht combined with the privacy of a private island.  Katie Holmes and her husband returned to the States on Dec. 1st.

This weekend in Hollywood, she celebrated, again, at the home of her husbands’ long time friend and production partner, Paula Wagner.  Katie and her husband showed up for the affair in an entourage of 3 separate Bentleys. Cruise’s 2 children from his previous marriage to Nicole Kidman, Conner and Isabella, were also there, but came separately from the rest of the family. It is reported that the entire family spent the afternoon watching Conner and Isabella play soccer.

Police were on hand to keep the media at bay and threatened citations if reporters and photographers got too close to Katie Homes and her guests during the celebration.

Reportedly this celebration was for those who could not attend the wedding in Rome.  However, many celebrities, such as Will Smith, were at both celebrations. Other famous female celebrities in attendance: Tom Cruse’s ex-girlfriend Penelope Cruz, Diane Sawyer, Catherine Bell, Jennifer Lopez, and former Paramount studio boss Sherry Lansing.  Notably absent was Oprah Winfrey, who was not invited to either celebration.  This comes as a surprise due to Cruise’s outrageous confession of love for Katie Homes on her show (in which he jumped up and down on a couch like a monkey).

A light rain fell on this outside party. However, it did not damper the celebration as tents were put up way in advance.  There were over 300 guests in attendance and the entire affair is said to have cost an estimated $400.000.
