Kelly Clarkson Talks About Her New CD

Kelly Clarkson is hard at work on her new album, titled ’My December’.  In fact, she just finished shooting the video for the first single off ’My December’. The song, titled, ’Never Again’ is described by Kelly as being “the most bitter song I’ve ever written.”

‘Never Again’ was written in just 15 minutes and Kelly describes it as being the classic break up song. “I wrote this song like in 15 minutes. The [emotions] just came pouring out. But it’s not meant to be spiteful or anything. Everyone goes through this kind of situation, and you just want a song you can get in your car and be like, ‘Ahhh’ to”, states Kelly.

She says that the song is about a real life ex. She also states that ‘Never Again’ is a theme that continues throughout her new album.

This new, less positive, take on things will be new to Kelly’s fans; whom have grown use to her happy, positive outlook. Kelly insists that she is just showing another side of her personality and that fans shouldn’t worry that she is loosing her spunky attitude towards things. Says Kelly, “They want ‘happy Kelly,’ and I’m a very happy person, but I’m a real person. It’s reality—I’m gonna show people the good times and bad times. The whole CD isn’t negative, it’s more of a story… and some of the story is kind of intense.”

Kelly will soon be returning to the place where she received her big break--The American Idol stage. She will be returning to the show to perform on their charity episode, “Idol Gives Back’.

And just what does Kelly think about Sanjaya, the controversial young man who was recently booted from the show?  “It’s fun to watch him. Every week you’re like, what is this guy going to do? And you’re kind of embarrassed but at the same time you’re just like, that’s just comedy. It’s funny,” Kelly continued, “He is a goober. I don’t even understand it.”
