Kylie Minogue To Welcome New Year In The UK

It has been announced today that Kylie Minogue will celebrate the New Year in her adopted homeland of Britain, in what is sure to be one of the show piece concerts of the year at Wembley Arena on 31 December 2006.  In her first UK concert since 2005, the diva of pop is sure to receive a rapturous reception from her band of UK followers.

Since breaking into acting in the ever popular Aussie Soap “Neighbours” it seems that Ms Minogue has never been far away from the headlines.  After under going treatment for breast cancer earlier this year, it appears that Kylie is back to her best after just finishing the Australian leg of her re-scheduled concert tour.  She has received many plaudits for her courageous fight against the cancer, and her passionate plea’s for regular checks seems to have hit home, with the “Kylie” effect encouraging many woman to visit their doctor for vital check-ups.

While Ms Minogue has been ridiculed at times during her ever changing career, there is no doubting that the beauty from Australia is a brave lady.

On a personal front there are rumours that her relationship with French boyfriend Olivier Martinez is in trouble, as he was recently photographed walking through Paris with an attractive model.  It would be a shame if the rumours were true as Olivier Martinez was a constant companion of Kylie during her treatment, in what must have been a very difficult period for him as well.

There is no doubt that New Years Eve will be special night for Ms Minogue as she contemplates what might have been, but she is here, she is fit and raring to get back on to the pop scene.
