Lindsay Lohan Going Dry

Lindsay Lohan, age 20, has promised to go teetotaler.  And, from all appearances, she’s clinging to that promise.

Lohan hasn’t given up partying; Christmas Eve she hung out with friends at the Lotus, a New York nightclub.  She repeatedly refused offers free alcohol, even telling the manager that she wasn’t going to drink.  Her friends drank and got wild, but she didn’t join them in the alcohol part.  Evidently she’s serious about her recent Alcoholics Anonymous attendance.  (And evidently the Lotus makes exceptions to its policy of not serving underage individuals when that underage person is a VIP.)

She left the Lotus at 3 a.m., after drinking water (according to the New York Post) and a Red Bull.  Lohan has followed that alcohol-free partying precedent since, now that she’s moved to Miami for her New Years’ parties, one morning appearing back at her hotel at the crack of dawn.  Her mother, younger sister and ex-boyfriend (Wilmer Valderrama, who she’s still friends with) also joined her in South Beach.

Lohan’s also made up for her leaked e-mail that insulted strippers.  Shortly before she left New York for Miami, she visited the famous strip club Scores West, gushing that she loved strippers and leaving huge tips for them.  Using what she’s learned for her role in the in-progress movie “I Know Who Killed Me,” she provided a pole dance herself to a few hundred customers’ cheers.
