Lindsay Lohan Meets Dad For The First Time In Three Years

After three years apart and in the midst of a raging custody battle between her parents, Lindsay Lohan gets a visit from her estranged father, Michael Lohan.  The reunion was bittersweet – Michael flew hours from his hometown to visit Lindsay at the Cirque Lodge in Utah where she is currently undergoing drug and alcohol rehabilitation.  Michael is in full support of his oldest daughter getting healthy, having been through alcohol and drug addiction himself.  Michael recently spent two years in prison for a DUI himself and finished the sentence in March of this year. 

Lindsay’s mother, Dina Lohan, says of the reunion, “Lindsay, myself and my son, Michael Jr., agreed that it would be good for her to have some closure with the situation with her dad. It’s part of the healing process.” Dina also states, “She needed to do this for herself. It’s still her father, no matter how you slice it. It’s still her dad, and God willing he’ll get it.” Both of Lindsay’s parents have had no qualms about speaking to the press or paparazzi – some say this is a direct attempt to seek fortune and fame from Lindsay.  Earlier this month, Michael Lohan made direct phone calls to celebrity gossip connoisseur Perez Hilton, from which he was quoted on numerous times trying to reach out and help his lost daughter.

Hopefully, this will be a step in the right direction for Lindsay, Michael and the entire Lohan family.  Lindsay is to be released from her rehabilitation program at Cirque in as little as two weeks, after which she will be monitored on an outpatient basis.  This is Lindsay’s second time in rehab this year – with any luck; Lindsay Lohan is on the path to being a healthy and happy actress again.  All of her friends, family and fans wish to see her well.
