Lindsay Lohan in Rehab - Again

Lindsay Lohan’s quiet stay in Long Island with her mom Dina, is over, if she was ever actually there to begin with. Lohan quietly checked into the Cirque Lodge drug and alcohol treatment center in Sundance, Utah amidst an acrimonious divorce action by Lohan’s parents, Donata (Dina) and Michael.

When Lindsay Lohan will begin her stay at Cirque Lodge is unknown. She is due in court in Santa Monica, Calif. facing charges from her Los Angeles arrest July 24 on suspicion of DUI (her second) and driving with a suspended license.

Cirque Lodge is a nationally recognized drug treatment center, according to their website and provides services for alcohol and drug rehabilitation. It is a private residential facility located in a private mountain retreat with beautiful views of the Sundance ski resort and Mount Timpanogos.

Lohan has been battling substance and alcohol abuse problems along with recurring bad behavior. She also is being sued and her parents are divorcing. That is a lot going on for the young actress, who is heading toward her third stint in rehab, although Lindsay rarely stayed long enough for anything to be effective. Less than two weeks after her last stint in rehab, she crashed her car and was arrested for suspected DUI and possession of cocaine found in her pants pocket. Lohan as continually denied the cocaine was hers.

As Lindsay Lohan tries to deal with her problems, her parents, Dina and Michael Lohan have been shuffling back and forth to courthouses in Long Island in an attempt to end their 20-year marriage. Lindsay once told an interviewer that she felt like a second parent because she helped raise her family. She said she was put between her mom and dad a lot and sometimes would put herself between them to try and keep the peace.

Michael Lohan is not without his own problems. He was sentenced to four years in prison in a stock fraud case in the late 1980’s and returned to jail in 1998 after violating his probation by leaving the state of New York to see his daughter in California.

Michael was sentenced to 1 to 4 years in prison for drunken driving, brawling and other charges two years ago and was just released from prison in March of this year.

With a family setting like this, is it any wonder Lindsay Lohan is on a self-destructive path?
