Lohan says, “I am Innocent”

After the recent arrest and multiple charges filed against her on Tuesday morning, Lindsay Lohan gave a simple and short explanation to everything by saying, “I am innocent.”
The statement was expressed through an email that the actress sent to Access Hollywood’s host Billy Bush after she was asked late Tuesday if there’s anything she’d like to say to the public amidst the charges surrounding her.
In the wake of the police reports that they received a call from Lohan’s former assistant’s mother saying that the actress was chasing after her, Lohan expressed in her electronic mail to Bush, “I was almost hit by my assistant Tarin’s mom.”
Moreover, the actress added on her email, “did not do drugs they’re not mine.” This was in response to the police report that they found a small amount of cocaine in the jeans of Lohan during a routine jail house search. It was also reported that the police initially remarked that the 21 year old actress was booked for an investigation due to transporting a narcotic. However, they retracted what they said and later reported she wasn’t.
The recent arrest of Lindsay Lohan came a few days after she was formally booked for a DUI charge in connection with a hit-and-run incident on a Memorial Day weekend, May 2007. Before the formal booking, the “I Know Who Killed Me” star ended a six-week stint at a rehab center on July 13. Having checked out of the clinic, Lohan agreed to wear an alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet to check on her sobriety daily. However, she had relapsed and is now receiving medical attention at an unnamed location. This time, unlike the time she was released from the rehab, her publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnik has remained quiet and didn’t provide any comment.
In line with Lohan’s run-ins with the law, the producers of the movie “Dare to Love Me”, which she is set to shoot this summer, remain kind and compassionate to the actress. They said that Lindsay Lohan is “still with the movie” amidst the recent trips to drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers and police stations.
