Lindsay Lohan Out of Rehab

“Mean Girls” star, Lindsay Lohan checked out of Promises Malibu Alcohol and Drug Rehab Treatment Facility on Friday. This was according to a statement issued by her publicist.

The actress, who stars in “I Know Who Killed Me” that is set for release this October, has just celebrated her 21st birthday on July 2. She stayed for almost seven weeks in the Malibu rehab center before she left.

It is remembered that Lohan checked in the rehab center after she drove and crashed into a curb while driving her Mercedes Benz. She was then detained on the suspicion that she was driving under the influence. A photograph was taken of her drooping in a friend’s car after the incident.

According to her publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnik, Lindsay will willingly wear the alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet as part of the rehab center’s outpatient program. The said ankle bracelet works by measuring the vapors from the star’s skin for any hint of ethanol which the body produces during alcohol intake. Then through a computer modem, the ethanol measurement results would then be sent to the rehab center for evaluation.

The day after she left the facility, Lohan was supposedly seen partying with some friends at a nightclub in Las Vegas. At the party, she wore the ankle bracelet. In line with this report, the actress’ publicists said, “She is wearing the bracelet so there are no questions about her sobriety.” Moreover, it was reported that Lohan sipped nothing alcoholic but instead drank an energy drink.

This is Lohan’s second time in rehab for the year 2007. The actress confessed that in January this year, she checked herself into a rehab center to get treatment for substance abuse.

When asked how Lindsay Lohan is doing, her publicist said that the star is doing great and that she is, “working hard on her sobriety”.
