Madonna - The Mother Of Re-Invention

There are few things as certain in life as a change of image, and change of career for singing superstar, and proven entrepreneur, Madonna.  After being named as the world’s top fashion icon at the Elle Style Awards in London, “Madge” has announced plans to launch her own fashion range, adding yet another entry to her ever growing list of business ventures.

Now married to Guy Ritchie and resident in the UK, Madonna is yet again hitting the headlines with her unconventional fashion style, which has been well received by a number of high profile critics.  As she approaches the big 50, this feisty 48 year old is showing no signs of slowing down with plans for a forthcoming album release. 

Ever the individualist, she has never taken much notice of industry observers, preferring to do things “her way” - something that has landed her in hot water on occasions, including her recent adoption of an African child.  Love her or hate her, there is doubting that she has class, she has style and she is one gutsy lady.

While she makes plans to launch her fashion label, “M by Madonna”, through UK clothes chain H & M, her private life is never too far from the headlines.  Her marriage to Guy Ritchie has been subject to constant speculation, with rumours of constant rows and concerns regarding the long term future of their partnership.  It appears that the recently agreed to “try again” and both appear determined to stay together, and enjoy the trappings that their successful careers have brought.

There are few 48 year olds throughout the world who can still hold some influence over the younger generation, and Madonna is most definitely a “one off”.  From her humble beginnings, she has carved herself a unique place on the celebrity circuit and is certainly showing no signs of taking it easy.
