Mary-Kate Olsen Promotes Weeds on Conan O’Brien

The more eclectic half of the pint-sized twosome, Mary-Kate Olsen, appeared on Conan O’Brien last night to promote her role as a pot-smoker (yes, her role is as a pot-smoking Christian) on the new hit show Weeds.
The tiny actress, who is generally mum when it comes to her and her sister, was actually quite candid on the interview, sharing plenty of information with O’Brien about her love of coffee and yes, tomato soup. When asked about how guys tend to ask her out (the ones that aren’t intimidated by her huge wealth and fame), Mary-Kate said, “Occasionally they do come up, but they say the weirdest things sometimes. The other day somebody asked me if he could make me tomato soup.”
Can the mega-millionaire be bought with a cheesy line like that? Probably not, but she was impressed. How did she handle the situation? Mary-Kate elaborates, saying, “I looked at him and said ‘I love tomato soup.’ And now I’m pregnant,” proving that although the twin may look grumpy for the paparazzi’s impromptu photo ops, that she still has a sense of humor.
Mary-Kate’s idea of a good-natured joke? “Sometimes if I’m out I’ll say I’m Ashley Olsen or if I’m making reservations for a restaurant I’ll use my sister’s name – actually most of the time,” the starlet quipped. During the interview, Mary-Kate also shares with Conan her love for coffee – explaining the ever-present Starbucks cup in her hand. She says, “Ever since I was young I have loved the taste of coffee.” Just how young did Mary-Kate develop her passion for coffee? Pretty young – she said that she used to “sneak a cup of coffee to the playroom.” Surely, not from her Full House days!
During her interview, Mary-Kate Olsen also elaborated on her feelings for O’Brien himself, adding, “I just have to say, I am a huge fan. I have a bit of a crush.”
