Naomi Watts Is Expecting

She has been trying to keep it a secret. Even amidst all of the rumors circulating around Hollywood; this one managed to stay hidden. But, it’s finally out. Naomi Watts and boyfriend, Liev Schreiber, are expecting their first child.

The cat was let out of the bag by a spokesperson for fashion designer, ESCADA, who made Naomi’s Oscar gown.  The representative for ESCADA had this to say about Naomi and her gown, “The ESCADA gown set off her most precious new asset – the baby she is expecting with longtime mate Liev Schreiber.”

The ESCADA gown designed for Naomi is a golden yellow in color with a black ribbon tied just under the bodice. The gown has a high waist line to conceal (and make room for) a baby bump.

In recent photos you can see Naomi’s baby bump - even under the wrap of a heavy coat. The happy couple starred opposite one another in the Oscar nominated film, The Veil. The plot of the movie has Naomi’s character cheating on her husband, played by Liev Shreiber.  Shreiber’s character is a doctor who goes to a an undeveloped country to fight a viral outbreak.

The 37 year old actress was born in England but grew up in Australia. She had her first acting job in 1986. She is best known for her roles in the David Lynch film, Mulholland Drive and dark horror flick, The Ring.. This great actress has had her share of great co stars including: Orlando Bloom (in the movie The Kelly Gang) and fellow Aussie Nicole Kidman in the movie, Flirting. However, probably her biggest co star has been King Kong. In this film Naomi played the quirky girl who flamed Kong’s love interest.

While rumors of Naomi’s pregnancy have been circulating for some time; her rep has been mum.  Naomi and Liev have been dating since April. Live has told reporters that he fell in love with Naomi as soon as they met. While in Sydney at Christmas time, Naomi visited a fertility specialist.
