Wednesday, May 09, 2007
According to several confirmed sources, Canadian actress Neve Campbell and British actor John Light have married very recently in a secret ceremony held in Malibu, California.
According to ‘Scream’ star rep, Jill Fritzo, Campbell and Light married last Saturday in a small personal ceremony that took place in Malibu where only relatives and closest friends were invited.
The happy couple met some time ago really. Back in 2001 they both participated on the filming of the independent movie ‘Investigating Sex’. The film, based on the French novel Recherches Sur la Sexualite Archives du Surealisme by Jose Pierre, was a German-American production directed by Alan Rudolph.
It seems that a good, strong relationship developed during that time since then they have dated for a long period before finally getting engaged in February 2006. According to some trustworthy sources, Royal Shakespeare’s Company actor John Light got down on one knee and recited Shakespeare to Campbell when proposing to her. It seems that she found the chivalric gesture very romantic as she eagerly accepted.
Neve Campbell is well remembered for her roles in movies such as ‘The Craft’, ‘Wild Things’ and ‘Scream’ and all its sequels. But she probably became more famous interpreting witty Julia Salinger on the Fox Network family drama ‘Party of Five’ that aired from 1994 to the year 2000. The drama was set in San Francisco and was about five siblings that were orphaned when a drunken driver killed their parents in a terrible car accident.
John Light has interpreted several different roles in many theatrical plays such as ‘My son John’ and ‘Julius Caesar’. He has also appeared on the 2001 HBO miniseries ‘Band of Brothers’ and the 2003 Showtime movie ‘The Lion in Winter’.
Both actors currently reside in London, although the couple is currently in the USA while Neve Campbell guest stars and films an episode for the NBC’s series ‘Medium’.
