New Evidence in the Anna Nicole Smith Case

There is new evidence in the Anna Nicole Smith investigation. Dr. Joshua Perper, the Broward county coroner, and police chief Charlie Tiger have told reporters that this new evidence could hold up the final report by weeks.

Dr. Joshua Perper has released a statement which says that this new evidence has the potential to change what he had previously determined to be the cause of Anna Nicole’s death. Dr. Perper said that he had determined a cause of death until he met with Chief Charlie Tiger of the Seminole Police Department. During their meeting, Chief Tiger said he had new evidence he wanted to be evaluated and considered. In his statement, Dr. Perper said, “We exchanged information, They informed us about additional pieces of evidence that they have obtained.”

In a separate statement, Gary Bitner, a spokesman for the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel, told reporters that he knew of this new information. Mr. Bitner would not say what the information was; only that he knew about it and that the new evidence is being kept confidential. Mr. Bitner would not confirm, nor deny, rumors that a Native American Shaman has been called in to purify the room in which Anna Nicole died. When asked by reporters if the rumor is true, Mr. Bitner replied, “We don’t discuss any issues related to the medicine of the Seminole tribe”.

Meanwhile, Anna Nicole’s grave has been closed to tourists. According to Lakeview cemetery (where Anna Nicole is buried) bus loads of fans have been coming to the cemetery to visit her grave. This has prompted complaints from people who have family members buried near Anna Nicole. These people say that graves are being trampled on and that other graves can not be accessed due to the large amount of people at Anna Nicole’s grave site. This resulted in the decision to close Lakeview to all tourists. Guards have been posted on every entrance to the cemetery.
