Hilton and Lohan Celebrate the Fourth

When you’re looking for juicy news, you rarely have to look further than Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, particularly of late.  Lindsay’s got herself on an extended rehab program, and Paris just finished up a stint in the county prison.  How could they possibly step up the spotlight tension?  By making an appearance at the same Fourth of July party?  Certainly.  Even though the boisterous Lohan and Hilton pair has hit the Los Angeles club scene together in the past, they’ve also had their fair share of public spats, perhaps most notable among them being Brandon Davis’ rant to the paparazzi on a night out with Paris Hilton.

Lohan and her family arrived at the Polaroid beach house in Malibu around 2 p.m. this past Wednesday.  Polaroid has rented the $30 million home for the summer to host celebrity events.  Wearing a white bikini top and denim shorts, Lindsay took the day to enjoy time with her family, even sneaking away to the beach for a walk with her sister.  Paris showed up around 5 p.m., strolling over from her own Malibu home just two houses down the street.  She greeted guests with a smile and was reportedly very relaxed after post-jail-time Malibu vacation. Lohan and Paris never met up, and Paris returned to her own Spanish-style home in the evening, leaving Lindsay and her family to enjoy the half-hour fireworks display at the Polaroid house.

Hilton recently posted holiday greetings to fans on her MySpace webpage, saying, “Happy 4th of July everyone, and remember to be responsible and have a designated driver!” Fresh out of a 23 day, alcohol-related jail sentence, Paris Hilton claims to be turning things around, starting a new lifestyle that involves less time out on the town.
