Penelope Cruz “Should Be So Lucky”!

The complicated love life of Penelope Cruz is yet again in the limelight as she fends off claims that she was involved in the breakup of Kylie Minogue and Oliver Martinez.  It seems that every day which goes by brings out another rumor regarding the now infamous breakup of Kylie and Oliver.

The rumor mill has been working overtime as Penelope Cruz has been spotted with Oliver Martinez on a number of occasions.  When questioned about rumors of an “affair” she admitted that she had been a “shoulder to cry on” for Martinez.  She also claims that they have been friends for seven years, and are very “close” - celebrity code for very very close?

Ms Cruz has been the subject of much rumor in celebrity circles after her much publicized affair with Tom Cruise some time ago.  While her career is going form strength to strength, it is her personal life which seems to be popular among the celebrity columns.  In a strange move for such an aspiring actress, Ms Cruz is set to star in the next Woody Allen movie, to be set in Barcelona. 

Even though Allen has been one of Hollywood’s most popular directors of recent times, many believe that he has past his sell by date.  Quite why an actress renowned around the world would take a chance on what are often controversial Woody Allen films remains to be seen.  Is she looking to shock, or has Woody Allen hit upon a gem that will further launch Cruz into the top echelons of Hollywood superstars?

The career of Ms Cruz has never been straight forward, and it seems that this may continue for the foreseeable future.  Whether she is brave or misguided to take on such a potentially controversial role remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure - we have not seen the last of Penelope Cruz!
